How to Clean Acrylic Bathtub and Showers

Acrylic Bathtub  and showers are recognized for their long lasting durability, design flexibility and glossy appearance. They are resistant to molds, hard water deposits and corrosion. Like all bathtubs and showers, acrylic surfaces accumulate dirt, soap scum and skin oils with each use. Frequently cleaning acrylic tubs and showers maintains their shiny appearance by preventing scratches from abrasive grime particles. Since acrylic bathroom surfaces are sensitive to cleaners, only use nonabrasive solutions to prevent damages and ensure longevity.

1 Fill a spray bottle with warm water. Spray the acrylic surface with the water to loosen dirt and grime.

2 Fill a plastic bucket with 1 gallon of warm water. Add 1 tbsp. of mild liquid dish soap to the water. Thoroughly mix the solution.

3 Fill another plastic bucket with 1 gallon of warm water for rinsing.

4 Dampen a clean microfiber cloth in the soapy solution. Luxurious Bathtub Wipe the tub or shower walls with the soapy cloth to remove dirt, oils and soap scum. Frequently rinse the cloth in the bucket of warm water to prevent reapplying dirt to the acrylic surface.

5 Wipe the tub or shower floor with the soapy cloth. Use the same technique as for the walls.

6 Refill the rinse water bucket with fresh water. Dampen a clean microfiber cloth in the water. Wipe down all the acrylic surfaces with the damp rag to rinse off the soap solution.

7 Dry the tub or shower with a clean terry cloth towel.
